Gobustan Mud Volcanoes

The Gobustan mud volcanoes erupt cold bubbling mud and are generally safe to observe. Avoid stepping too close to soft crater rims.

Dry weather is essential. Dirt and clay roads leading across the plateau become impassable after heavy rain.

Footwear you don't mind getting mud-stained, wet wipes, drinking water, and a sun hat.
