Gusar travel guide
Shahdag ski resort, Bazarduzu — the country’s highest peak — and the waterfalls of Laza.
Gusar lies at the foot of the highest part of the Greater Caucasus, about 180 km north of Baku. It is known for Lezgian culture, mountain villages and the year-round Shahdag resort.
Winter brings the ski season; in summer the focus shifts to alpine meadows, waterfalls and summit hikes. Bazarduzu (4,466 m), the highest point in Azerbaijan, is also in this region.
