Gusar Lazy Camp: The Most Comfortable Riverside Camping Experience
The hard part of camping isn't nature — it's the organization. Whose tent is it, how will meals work, where is the toilet, what if it gets cold at night? The "Lazy Camp" format answers precisely these questions.
What is the format?
A 20-person campsite located in a forested area by the river in Gusar. Includes a movie night, lighting, and full camping organization. There are two options for participation:
- With your own equipment, no meals included — cheaper
- Equipment rental + meals — bring nothing
The second option is ideal for your first camping trip: you get to experience camping without buying 300–500 AZN worth of equipment for just one night.
Features of riverside camping
Sound. The sound of the river might keep you awake the first night, but by the second night, it becomes the ultimate white noise. Bring earplugs if you are sensitive.
Humidity. Morning dew is heavier near water. Keep electronics inside your backpack overnight.
Temperature. River valleys get colder at night — cold air settles at the bottom.
About movie night
An outdoor movie is one of the best camping ideas, but sitting still will make you cold. For this:
- Bring a separate blanket or warm layer
- Bring a small mat to sit on (cold comes from the ground)
Next step
If you loved camping after the Lazy Camp, the next level features scenic but less comfortable options:
- Hamosham Mountain Camp — 1300 m, transfer by off-road vehicle
- Gakh Camp — combined with a waterfall hike
- Heydar Aliyev Peak — summit camp
